Guided by the philosophy that “a wedding is far more than just flowers,” Kim Pham has become a defining name behind the dreamlike experiences of high-profile couples. As the Creative Director and Founder of Je t’aime Art, he orchestrates a world of color and profound emotion. Here, superficial aesthetics are merely the surface; the ultimate goal is to nurture the internal emotions of the bride and groom, elevating them into a bespoke piece of living art.

With over nine years of evolution alongside Vietnam’s wedding industry, Kim’s portfolio boasts numerous high-profile celebrations—most recently, a spectacular Indian destination wedding in Phu Quoc. These milestones have offered him profound insights into the luxury event market and its creative talent.
Sitting down at Luxe Anatomy for a meticulous conversation with LUXUO, Kim unveils his philosophy on balancing three defining pillars—logic, emotion, and luxury—and navigating the delicate equilibrium required to conquer the business of fine art.
The Velvet Iron Fist
When navigating the line between a flexible management style and strict corporate discipline, which approach do you favor—particularly in an inherently artistic domain like Je t’aime Art?
I choose a path of “soft discipline”—akin to an iron fist in a velvet glove (laughs). I realized early on that enforcing rigid, unyielding discipline often sparks resistance. At the same time, structural discipline is absolutely non-negotiable for a business to scale. Therefore, I opted for a more nuanced approach, allowing team members to organically grasp how vital discipline is to our collective success.
I help my team understand that to achieve greatness and reach their highest goals, they must walk a challenging path that requires structure and restraint. Over time, this discipline ceases to feel restrictive or uncomfortable; it simply becomes a natural rhythm of their workflow. That is the essence of “soft discipline.”
What serves as the North Star guiding your leadership journey with Je t’aime Art?
Conviction has been the unwavering compass of my journey. I have always believed that a wedding shouldn’t be confined to traditional floral arrangements. Color palettes, architectural silhouettes, and alternative structural materials play an equally critical role in translating a couple’s unique narrative into a harmonious, singular atmosphere.
When I first pursued this vision, I felt entirely isolated in the market. Yet, that very conviction ultimately propelled the company to the vanguard of the industry today, driving the entire team to constantly innovate and reinvent our craft.

Modernizing Heritage
How should Vietnamese cultural elements be integrated into contemporary weddings today?
As the domestic market matures, there is a prominent trend of absorbing international identities and traditions. Western wedding rituals, such as exchanging personal vows or the first dance, are increasingly embraced in Vietnam. While these rituals are undeniably beautiful, they occasionally overshadow native traditions.

Looking back, Vietnam possesses a rich, ancient heritage with exquisite wedding customs that remain largely untapped. Why shouldn’t we, as industry creators, forge a seamless intersection between these two worlds? I believe in “contemporizing” tradition—or rather, designing a modern Vietnamese wedding that resonates deeply with the younger generation while captivating an international audience.
Consider the motif of a pair of geese—the traditional Vietnamese symbol of lifelong marital fidelity. Today, we can re-imagine this beautiful imagery through a contemporary creative lens, satisfying modern design sensibilities while honoring national identity. This is not merely about preserving heritage; it is a global stage for showcasing the elegance of Vietnamese culture.
In your eyes, if there were a definition of a “perfect” wedding, what would it be?
To me, a perfect wedding is one where the raw emotions of the bride and groom unfold organically, completely free of hesitation or performance.
Human experience is governed by five senses—sight, sound, taste, smell, and touch. The ultimate mission of Je t’aime Art is to immerse the couple into a multi-sensory odyssey, satisfying every sense while letting them experience the full, unfiltered spectrum of joy on their defining day.
